CAREER COACHING

WHAT IS CAREER COACHING?

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as:

"Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential".

In Career Coaching we work closely with individuals to deliver clarity around their personal values, what motivates (and demotivates) them, skills and experience to create a well-informed plan for a successful and rewarding career journey.

Depending on your individual requirements, Career Coaching will generally involve  a program of one-on-one coaching sessions focused on defining and developing goals, generating client-led solutions and strategies, agreeing an action plan, looping back on progress and outcomes and supporting you throughout the process.

Making a career or role change can be daunting, but with the right planning and support you will be able to develop your confidence to make a change and execute it smoothly and successfully whilst remaining calm and in control.

HOW CAREER COACHING CAN HELP YOU

  • Identifying and understanding your core values - what is most important to you, what drives you, why do you do what you do.

  • Going deeper into your thoughts around your goals to give clarity and determine how to make them a reality.

  • Developing the courage, readiness and support needed to make a role or career change.

  • Uncovering what is limiting you from achieving your full potential.

  • Establishing and implementing a career plan with confidence.

  • Ensuring your time and effort is purposeful and directed to achieving your goals and needs.

  • Accelerating the move to your next role.

  • Successfully commencing your new role.

  • Working through the challenges of juggling professional and personal commitments and aspirations to find balance and sustainability.

WHO CAREER COACHING IS SUITED TO

We work with individuals at all stages of their career. If any of the below describe your current position then we can help:

  • Exploring whether a role or career change, or a career break, is the right thing for you.

  • Have decided to make a change but need the courage and support to successfully execute on it.

  • Planning to return to work after a break or find a new role after a retrenchment and need to develop the confidence and a plan of action to achieve the right outcome.

  • Looking for more purpose and personal fulfillment in your work-life to have a successful and rewarding career.

  • Needing to better balance your work with other life commitments to focus on balance, well-being and happiness.

The most important thing is that you are ready to go on the journey.  What does this mean?

  • Committing wholeheartedly with a positive approach, an open mind and genuine willingness to progress.

  • Working with your Coach in an engaged and collaborative way.

  • Being willing talk openly and share your thoughts.

  • Permitting your Coach to challenge you at times.

  • Implementing the action plan that you have developed with your Coach.
